I have taken on many cases from the legal profession wanting to trace a beneficiary of a will. I take these cases on for my usual fees outlined below. I can’t accept these cases on a “no find no fee” basis as they usually require in depth public record searching in order to locate a trace of the possible heir, and then it takes a lot more work to actually trace the beneficiary from that scrap of information. Although if you have several cases the initial fees per case will be lowered significantly.
Trace Heirs UK fees:-
£49.99 upfront (non-refundable to cover time and expenses) and an additional £99.99 ONLY if the trace is successful. You're given two weeks to confirm the traced person’s address before making the final payment.
Trace Heirs USA fees:-
$80 upfront (non-refundable to cover time and expenses). You're given two weeks to confirm the traced person’s address before making the final payment.
To start tracing any possible heirs I’d need the following information – your client’s full name and DOB/age, hometown if known, previous addresses if known, any known marriages etc.
I’ll also accept cases to trace named beneficiaries, and any known details like their relationship to your client or previous address would be useful.
Unlike tracing most other missing persons, there are legal loopholes that allow me to divulge the address of traced heirs without heir knowledge or consent as it is considered to be in their best interests. However, I stress to my clients that the approach be made to the beneficiary discretely and you have patience with them if they take their time to complete the required paperwork.
